Ensure Safe Travels with Proper Tire Pressure

The importance of using the coolado tPump XL

Are you planning to go on vacation with a camper or caravan? Then it’s essential to make sure you have the right tire pressure. Unfortunately, many campers and caravans hit the road with incorrect tire pressure, which is simply dangerous. Not only does it increase the braking distance, but it also worsens the road handling and significantly increases the risk of a blowout. Fortunately, there is a perfect solution to keep your vehicle’s tire pressure at the right level, even while driving or upon arrival at your destination. With the easy-to-use Coolado tPump XL, you have a small air compressor that quickly brings your tires to the correct pressure. Why take risks?

The Coolado tPump XL is engineered to deliver optimal performance and is recognized as one of the best wireless compressors on the market. While most pumps can deliver a pressure up to 10.3 bar, most vehicles don’t need this level of pressure. The maximum pressure required for most vehicles is usually no more than 5.5 bar.

What’s truly important is the speed at which you can inflate a tire, and in this area, the Coolado tPump XL excels.

Below is an overview of the effective pumping speeds of our range of wireless tPump tire compressors.

The it’s important to note that when inflating a tire above three bars, the pump requires more time for each additional bar and the temperature can increase. This inevitably leads to a faster depletion of your battery capacity.

The Coolado tPump XL pump is equipped with a built-in sensor that detects when the temperature exceeds an acceptable level, causing it to automatically shut off for safety.

We want to warn you that if you are inflating tires with a pressure between 3-5.5 bars, the pump may shut off and need to cool down before you can continuje inflating.

To enssure that you can visualize the resultts, we have created a comprehensive performance table for you so you know what to expect from our pumps.

One disadvantage of the tPump XL is that most pumps have a maximum pressure of 10.3 bar, while the tPump XL can only deliver a maximum pressure of 6.9 bar. However, this does not pose a problem since there are very few situations where you need to pump up to 10.3 bar. For us, the pumping speed is much more important than the pressure the pump can generate. With a pressure of 6.9 bar, you can pump most tires without any problems.

Is it possible for a cordless mini compressor to inflate a car tire from 0 to 2.5 bar in a mere 2 minutes and 30 seconds?

The Coolado tPump XL stands out in the market with its unique dual-cylinder system and powerful motor, enabling it to efficiently inflate a car tire from 0 to 2.5 Bar in just 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Additionally, it showcases remarkable speed by inflating a bicycle tire from 0 to 3 Bar in a mere 12 seconds.

For more detailed information on the performance of the Coolado tPump XL in inflating tires, please refer to Table 1.

The Coolado tPump XL is a game-changer in air pumps. It inflates a bicycle tire from 0 to 3 Bar in just 12 seconds. Not just for bikes, it also pumps up a car tire from 0 to 2.5 Bar in 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

Thanks to its powerful motor and dual-cylinder system, it’s fast, reliable, and easy to use. Perfect for anyone who needs a quick and efficient way to inflate tires.

For more detailed information on the performance of the Coolado tPump XL in inflating tires, please refer to Table 1.

We tested the Coolado tPump XL to inflate a kite and air tent. In less than 4 minutes we inflated the 7-meter kite, while it took us about 6 minutes to inflate a tent for 4 people. Unfortunately, the tPump X, with its single cylinder, was unable to inflate these inflatable items. To inflate kites and air tents, you need optional SUP adapters.

It’s important to understand that inflating a tire beyond three bars requires additional time for each extra bar, and this process can lead to an increase in temperature.

Consequently, this can result in quicker battery drain. To address this, the Coolado tPump XL is equipped with an integrated sensor that automatically shuts the pump off if the temperature rises too high, ensuring safety.

A standout feature of the Coolado tPump XL is its ability to efficiently handle demanding inflation tasks, a capability that sets it apart from many other pumps in the market. For example, inflating a tire from 4.5 to 5 bar takes only 2 minutes and 23 seconds, thanks to its powerful motor and dual-cylinder design. In comparison, a single-cylinder pump might take up to three times longer, and there’s no certainty of its effectiveness for all four tires.

For more detailed information on the performance of the Coolado tPump XL in inflating camper tires, please refer to Table 1.

When it comes to inflating bicycle tires from 0 to 3 bar, the Coolado tPump XL impressively manages to inflate up to 63 tires.

As for car tires, inflating them from 0 to 2.5 bar, the device successfully handles 6 tires.

You can find the detailed results of these tests in Table 2.

We also tested camper tires 215/70/R15 and frankly, only the Coolado tPump XL was able to inflate them in a reasonable amount of time. Inflating a tire with the tPump X was challenging and took us a long time. This does not mean that pumps with only one cylinder do not work for an RV tire, but they are just not very practical to use. It’s too slow.

These are the results of inflating the camper tire with the Coolado tPump XL.

  • from 3 to 3.5 bar it took 0:59 min.
  • from 4 to 4.5 bar it took 1:36 min.
  • from 5 to 5.5 bar it took 2:44 min.

DISCOVER HOW IT WORKS

No, in our specific context, pump speed is more crucial than the maximum pressure it can achieve. For example, many pumps reach a maximum pressure of 10.3 bar, but the tPump XL is limited to 6.9 bar. This limitation, however, is usually not a significant issue. In most scenarios, including the inflation of standard tires, a pressure of 6.9 bar is more than adequate.

Considering road bikes, the recommended tire pressure typically ranges between 5.5 to 8 bar (80 to 116 psi), well within the capacity of the tPump XL. For car tires, the recommended pressure is about 2.4 bar, and camper tires might require a maximum of 5.5 bar. Inflating high-volume tires like those on campers can be time-consuming and challenging at pressures around 4 to 5.5 bar with standard cordless compressors.

Therefore, for such applications, we recommend a pump with a dual compressor, like the Coolado tPump XL. This pump significantly eases and speeds up the inflation process. It’s essential to understand that higher tire pressures make inflation harder and slower.

In conclusion, if you’re seeking a pump for a road bike, the Coolado tPump XS is ideal as it can pump up to 10.3 bar and is compact enough for easy transportation. For all other types of tires, the Coolado tPump XL is the superior choice, particularly for high-volume tires where speed is preferred over pressure. If you’re on a budget the Coolado tPump X is an excellent option.

To give you a better understanding of what we mean by the performance or speed of the pump and why the Coolado tPump XL is significantly better for camper tires, we will include a table that outlines the specific performances of each pump model.

The answer to this question depends on several factors, such as the size and type of tires you have, and the air pressure required to inflate them. Under normal circumstances, you use the pump to inflate the tires a few tenths of a bar, say from 4 bar to 4.5 bar.

The higher the pressure, the more effort the pump has to make and the longer it takes to inflate the tire.

No, cordless air compressors do not have speed settings. The speed of a compressor is mainly determined by the number of cylinders and to a lesser extent by the motor power. Therefore, most mini wireless compressors have similar speeds. However, cordless electric pumps with two cylinders can move more air than pumps with only one cylinder. As a result, these pumps are significantly faster at inflating your camper’s tires. The only wireless air compressor on the market with two cylinders is the Coolado tPump XL.

With most cordless air compressors, it is possible to adjust the pressure gauge.

Using the pressure gauge, you can set the desired air pressure. This is useful because different tires have different recommended air pressures. By adjusting the pressure gauge to the correct value, you can ensure that your tire is inflated correctly. When the desired air pressure is set on the pressure gauge, the pump will automatically stop once the desired pressure is reached, preventing over-inflation.

Note that not all cordless pumps have this feature. Therefore, it is important to check the specifications of the pump to see if it is equipped with an adjustable pressure gauge.

The table below shows the differences between the different pumps and also gives you an idea of the benefits you gain by purchasing a higher-speed pump.

A good cordless pump should also have accurate pressure control. This allows you to maintain the right air pressure in your tire for optimal stability and comfort.

Besides inflating camping tires, it is also important to check if the pump is suitable for other applications, such as inflating bicycle tires, motorcycle tires or car tires. With optional adapters, you can also easily inflate kites or inflatable tents.

Also note the battery life of the cordless pump.

Choose a cordless pump that is compact and portable so you can easily take it with you while camping. A lightweight and compact design makes transporting and storing the pump easy.

When evaluating cordless electric pumps for camper tires, it is important to consider these features to ensure that you choose a pump that meets your needs and makes your camping experience even more enjoyable.

The time it takes to inflate a tire with the Coolado tPump XS and X, which are single-cylinder pumps, depends on the tire’s size, quantity, and desired pressure.

The Coolado tPump XL, featuring a dual compressor, is the fastest wireless tire pump on the market, especially effective for high-volume tires like those on campers. While standard cordless compressors may struggle with pressures around 4 to 5.5 bar, the tPump XL makes the inflation process quicker and easier.

A table with specific capabilities and advantages of each model is provided for more details.

Charging times for the Coolado tPump series vary by model:

  • tPump XS: Using the USB charging cable, it takes 1-2 hours to fully charge.
  • tPump X: With its USB charging cable, full charge is achieved in 5-6 hours.
  • tPump XL:
    • Using the AC charging cable, it takes only 2 hours for a full charge.
    • Alternatively, with the USB charging cable, it takes 5-6 hours.

All these pumps have lithium-ion batteries. To extend the battery life, try to keep the charge between 20% and 80%. Charging beyond 100% or continuing to charge after full charge can reduce the battery’s lifespan.

Also, the speed of charging can depend on the type of charger/adapter you use. Remember, it’s best not to overcharge the battery, like leaving it charging overnight.

There is also a handy battery indicator that lets you know how much battery charge is left, adding convenience to your usage and maintenance of the pump.

The battery life of the pump is primarily determined by the number of tires you inflate. On a full charge, the pumps can operate for about 15-30 minutes, depending on the model. However, as the battery level decreases, the motor’s power may reduce slightly, leading to a longer inflation time.

To give you a clearer idea, we will include a table showing exactly how many tires you can inflate with one full charge. This table will help you understand the pump’s capacity based on different tire sizes and pressure requirements.

Remember, when the battery is almost empty, the pump will automatically shut off as a safety feature, indicating it’s time for a recharge. Please avoid continuing to use the pump with a low battery, as it can enter a sleep mode and become unchargeable, potentially causing damage.

During operation, the pumps emit a noise level between 70 to 80 decibels. At a distance of one meter, the sound reduces to below 75dB, comparable to the volume of loud conversations and generally not harmful to hearing.

Psi and bar are different units for measuring pressure. Psi is a unit that measures pressure as a 1-pound force applied to an area of 1 square inch, while a bar is a unit that measures pressure when the force is applied perpendicular to a surface.

When choosing a pump, it is therefore wise to choose one with a pressure gauge so you can be sure of the pressure.

No! Many cordless compressors have some degree of water resistance, such as splash resistance. This means they can be safely used in damp conditions or light rain.

However, it is important to note that cordless compressors are not completely waterproof and should not be submerged in water. Thus, it is essential to exercise caution and avoid exposing the pump to heavy rain, immersion in water or other wet conditions that may affect its operation.

Yes, the Coolado tPump XL pump can be taken on a plane and must be placed in carry-on luggage as it is equipped with a built-in lithium-ion battery. This airline directive applies to other electronics such as laptops and cell phones.

For items like air beds or swimming pools that need low pressure but high volume, a fan pump is more effective than an air compressor. Generally, fan pumps can produce up to about 5 PSI (0.34 bar), but this can vary by model and manufacturer.

Coolado wireless tire pumps are not the best choice for inflating large, low-pressure items. For these, the Coolado ePump X, a multifunctional and brushless fan-equipped pump, is recommended. It’s designed for quick and efficient inflation of bigger objects.

While the Coolado tPump series excels with smaller, high-tension items, the Coolado ePump X is better for high-volume inflatables needing less than 0.4 Bar pressure. For kites and air tents requiring 0.5 – 0.9 Bar, the Coolado tPump XL is ideal and can be used with an optional SUP adapter for optimal inflation.
